I am a trauma-informed, professionally trained and licensed psilocybin facilitator and I have a deep respect for this healing and transformative work. I graduated from InnerTrek, in the first cohort of legal psilocybin professionals to be working under Oregon's Measure 109, which legalized psilocybin services. I am continuously learning and honing my skills and my ongoing education includes a beautiful combination of science and sacred, from studying the newest research to honoring ancient and Indigenous wisdom and the cultures that have worked with mushrooms ceremonially for thousands of years. The human/mushroom connection goes way back, with the oldest cave painting of a mushroom shaman dated at 6,000 B.C.E. In more recent years, many well-respected research centers such as Johns Hopkins University have conducted extensive studies showing the benefits of psilocybin for mental health and wellbeing, including neuroplasticity (the brain's ability to re-wire it's functions and make new neural connections and re-map malfunctioning systems) which is a wonderful tool for forming new habits, letting go of negative patterns, assisting in overcoming issues such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, long Covid, addiction, and the grief/fear at end of life. My work is rooted in nature-based, holistic, somatic practices and introspective exploration to encourage transformation and healing, enhanced creativity, personal growth, spiritual expansion, embodied wellness and a renewed connection with one's authentic self.
